Sourcing: Violet leaf is found in Egypt around the valley of the river Nile (Delta area), and Egypt is the main producer for violet leaf absolute as today more than 80% of violet leaf absolute in the world is produced in Egypt.
Crop and harvest time: Violet leaf is harvest from may to November, plant stay around 7 months on the land and branches are harvest one time each 2 months.
To protect the leaves of the violet, there are an old system that used in Egypt from years, is to plant the corn on the same time to create shadows in order to protect violet leafs. After collecting the violet, it need 24 hours before the extraction.
LISHA Essential oils, is situated in the Delta of the river Nile, and we have the chance to produce the absolute of violet.
Extraction is done exactly same way like the Jasmine absolute, so, we extract first the concrete of violet then, we transform the concrete to absolute.
